We were very pleased with Travis and his team. They were fast, respectful, and very clean. I’ve also used Mitigation twice. Both times the work was done perfectly. This last time we had a pipe spring a leak inside the concrete in the garage. The water travelled up the wall and caused mold and water damage in the adjacent bedroom as well as the garage. Travis’s team responded to our call and they were there within 2 hours. The city of Torrance inspector who came to sign off the job said that he sees a lot of their work. He showed me the things that he was looking for and said that the work was done very well, consistent with what he is used to seeing from Mitigation. Having a leak is a stressful experience, there is no doubt about that. When it comes to your biggest investment, it is worth it to me to have peace of mind that the job will be done right.
I used Travis and mitigation about a year ago when I had a major leak and damage to my roof and stucco. Mitigation was timely, extremely professional and fixed the leak and did great work.
Today I got a frantic call from the babysitter saying the basement was flooded. I called Travis and mitigation again, and they dropped everything and got there in 2 hours. That type of response time is unheard of! They took there time and problem shot, and found the problem.
I would strongly recommend using mitigation and I will definitely be using them again in the future.

Once for a flood damage. and again for asbestos removal.
The supervisor, Travis, cleaned up my unit perfectly during the flood, then went down to do the work in the unit below mine so they wouldn’t sue me for water damage. His expertise was a life saver.
They do all work in house, meaning no sub contractors!!!!
We have used Mitigation for everything Home Improvement. From new pluming to new kitchens and bathrooms. Appliance repair? No problem! Every person we have dealt with have been so nice and professional. Cost has always been what was quoted! We will continue to use Mitigation in the future if needed. I really liked working with one company who handled all aspects of the project – water damage/drying, plumbing repairs, reconstruction, painting, etc. and billed insurance directly. I would definitely consider using them for general home construction projects – they know what they are doing and do quality work.
I had another slab leak six months after my first one. The first thing I did was call Travis and his team at Mitigation Inc. Within a week they fixed the pipe, got city permits and reconstructed the area.

Mold Disclosure Requirements in California Code § § 1102-1102.17). California law requires landlords to provide tenants with a written disclosure, prior to signing a rental agreement, when they know, or have reason to know, that mold exceeds permissible exposure limits or poses a health threat.
California Code of Regulations, Title 17, Division 1, Chapter 8, § 35001 – 36100 Accreditation, Certification, and Work Practices for Lead-Based Paint and Lead Hazards
Title 17 requires that work on any structure built before January 1, 1978 must use lead-safe work practices including containment and clean the work area after the project is completed. The revised state law went into effect on April 30, 2008 and applies to everyone including contractors, painters, homeowners, renters, and maintenance staff. The regulations also cover accreditation of training providers and certification of individuals to perform lead abatement and sets work practice standards for lead hazard evaluations and the abatement of lead hazards.
Title 17 implements the mandates of the California Health and Safety Code regarding lead-based paint and lead hazards. Title 17 references its authority in applicable sections of the Health and Safety Code, Civil Code, Government Code, and Revenue and Taxation Code.
EPA Rule: Lead: Renovation, Repair and Painting Program
EPA has issued a rule that requires anyone who is conducting work for compensation that disturbs painted surfaces in a pre-1978 building to first obtain training in lead-safe work practices, to contain paint chips and dust, clean-up all work areas and become lead-safe certified by the EPA. This rule went into effect on April 22, 2010. The rule was most recently revised on July 15, 2011
§1529. Asbestos.
(a) Scope and application.
(1) This section regulates asbestos exposure in all construction work as defined in Section 1502 including but not limited to the following:
(A) Demolition or salvage of structures where asbestos is present;
(B) Removal or encapsulation of materials containing asbestos;
(C) Construction, alteration, repair, maintenance, or renovation of structures, substrates, or portions thereof, that contain asbestos;
(D) Installation of products containing asbestos;
(E) Asbestos spill/emergency cleanup;
(F) Transportation, disposal, storage, containment of and housekeeping activities involving asbestos or products containing asbestos, on the site or location at which construction activities are performed;
